Jobs Queensland Limited (JQL) is a community based not-for-profit organisation operating since August 2000. Since its inception, JQL has worked to deliver employment and training programs to benefit job seekers.
We have a strong track record in obtaining government funding assistance that enables us to implement our programs in a holistic manner and to work with individuals to improve their skills and knowledge. We also provide additional support services to address issues and barriers that have previously disadvantaged and hindered employment opportunities among individuals. In 2020, a job and course searching website platform was developed, aimed to assist job seekers looking for employment, and employers with a cost-effective and simple advertising solution.

Mission
Jobs Queensland Limited was established to:
- To provide all services including job training to assist the unemployed particularly the long term unemployed and other disadvantaged groups in the community including person in necessitous circumstances to obtain and retain employment;
- To promote and administer various programs for the long term unemployed to enhance the skills and employment opportunities of disadvantaged job seekers;
- To promote and provide employment opportunities for those referred to above.
Our mission is to continue to build and improve on our services; our experience has proven we have the ability to assist our clients reach the next step; further training and development, engagement in employment.
The progression from labour market and assistance programs to sustainable employment/training delivery is a natural evolution for our organisation whilst still maintaining the original values that were set as our mission at the organisations inception

Rockhampton
Jamie Burke – Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer, Jamie Burke has 30 years’ experience in the employment and training industries. Working in with both State and Federal Government as well as private sectors. Jamie set up and managed his own private Registered Training Organisation for 20 of those years assisting many job seekers including those with multiple barriers that may have inhibited their potential in gaining employment or successfully completing a qualification.
Jamie oversees the operations of the organisation with its purpose to continue to assist jobseekers and other disadvantaged person gaining the skills and training required to increase their employability and improve their lives. With Jobs Queensland holding federal government “ParentsNEXT” programs and Qld State government Skilling Queenslanders for Work projects Jamie along with Jobs Queensland share their experience, knowledge to assist the local communities in which they service.
Chamay Bauer – General Manager
General Manager, Chamay Bauer has worked for Jobs Queensland for over 15 years and has been heavily involved in the management and delivery of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work programs and other employment and training initiatives. Based in Rockhampton, Chamay has worked for Jobs Queensland managing the daily operation of the head office. Her skills and expertise lie in project management, coordination of staff and administration of the organisation.
Mackay
Mitch Burke – Governance and Compliance Manager:
Governance and compliance Manager, Mitch Burke has almost 40 years experience in working labour market, training and community. Mitch has a strong background in compliance and program management for government funded services and programs. He has provided services to many regional centres in Queensland and understands how regional centres work and the work and training issues faced by people living in those communities. Mitch has a lengthy experience in federal government and also in private enterprise. The combination of experience provides for a strong approach to business and contract/program management principles of Jobs Queensland.
